On April 11th, 2019 a delegation of professors, lecturers and tutors from Bangladesh visited Norafin.
What was it all about?
The Technical University of Chemnitz is working on a project addressing sustainable development in the textile industry – the “German-Bangladesh Higher Education Network for Sustainable Textiles” (HEST). The project executing organization is the giz (German Society for International Cooperation). Initiator and supporter of the project is the BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development).
The project partner of the TU Chemnitz is the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) in Bangladesh.
The aim of the project is to revise the curricular of the BUFT in terms of sustainability on the one hand and to improve the skills of the teaching staff technically and didactically. The enhanced education shall solve the absence of well-trained staff in the middle management.
Within the scope of the project, a group of 10 Bengal professors, lecturers, and tutors visited Chemnitz from April 9th – 11th. Besides didactical trainings, it was planned to present new technical developments to the visitors. Norafin was one place to go for the delegation.
