Lyocell is a fiber with significantly improved physical properties. As with viscose, the starting material is pulp from sustainable forestry. However, the lyocell production process does not use any chemicals. More than 99% of the solvents used are recovered and returned to the production process in a closed cycle.

Article 01863.99 is a needlepunch nonwoven, meaning that the fribrous web is processed "dry". The fibrous web provided by the carding machine is mechanically strengthened via vertically moving needles. The nonwoven is made of 50% lyocell and 50% PET.
